Building Update – Furnace Repair
Update: Saturday, February 17th
And, the saga of the firehouse furnace continues. Whatever repair or adjustment was made on Friday did not last, and now the whole furnace needs to be replaced. The landlords are on it, and the new furnace is (tentatively) set to be installed on Wednesday, February 21st. Unfortunately, we are canceling the regular weekend classes. The good news is, we are working on electric heating alternatives to keep the yoga room cozy and make sure the building pipes don’t freeze.
The plan is to be back in the space with alternative heaters by Monday. We are working on an alternative venue for this Sunday’s Down Dog for City Dogs benefit class.
AGAIN, thank you so much for your patience and understanding. It is frustrating and heartbreaking for us to have to cancel so many classes. We are doing everything we can to get back up and running ASAP.

The furnace has been fixed, and classes will resume this evening – starting with Sivananda at 6:00 p.m. Thank you all so much for your patience while we resolved this building issue.
Update: Thursday Evening
Still no working furnace. Someone is coming to the firehouse on Friday morning to work on it.
Friday’s 10:00 a.m. All-Levels Flow class is canceled. Evening classes should be able to go on as scheduled (fingers crossed).

The issue with the furnace has not been resolved. There is no heat in the building, and we will need to cancel this evening’s classes. Those who were already signed up have been notified.
We are hoping the repairs will take place tomorrow, and we will continue to post updates on the situation. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

There is something wrong with the furnace in the firehouse, and it has been shut off. Someone has been called to come look at it, and we are hopeful that this can be resolved today.
We have not yet made the decision to cancel this evening’s classes, in case it’s a simple repair that can be completed this afternoon. We will keep everyone updated here, on social media, and via email to those who are signed up for class tonight.
A final decision about tonight’s classes will be made no later than 4:00 p.m. today. Thank you for your patience and understanding!
