Yoga for Mobility: A Four-Week Series

Nicole leads a 4-week series focused on functional movement for everyday life

Lear how to use yoga to support mobility, balance, and strength.

Each class will include standing, seated, and reclined postures to help support functional movement in everyday life, emphasizing an appropriate mix of stability and flexibility, healthy joints, and a strong core. Variations and yoga props will be offered to adapt the poses for different bodies and needs. No prior yoga experience necessary.

This series is geared toward seniors wishing to stay active and folks looking to improve mobility or return to physical activity after injury or time away, but classes are open to anyone interested in learning how functional yoga can support activities of daily living.

Tuesday, July 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd @ 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.

Participants are encouraged to attend all four sessions, as we will add on each week. Between now and June 22nd, purchase the whole series for $48. Individual classes will be available as of June 23rd.

Note: Classes take place at the studio, which is on the second floor of the firehouse. There is no elevator, so there is one flight of stairs involved. If stairs are a barrier, Nicole is working on creating an online version of this class series, as well as opportunities to offer it offsite at senior or community centers. Contact the studio if you would like to be notified about those options.
