Your donations thus far have helped Firehouse Yoga remain viable during the COVID-19 crisis. We still have a bit of catching up to do, but we also want to pay it forward.
These are challenging economic times, and like many small businesses, we’ve definitely felt the effects of the COVID-19 shutdown and loss of in-person classes at the studio. This spring, we put the call out for donations to help keep the studio afloat, and the community answered. Some donated outright, and others made donations in exchange for Nicole’s handmade cotton face masks. Because of that, we were able to keep things moving forward, paying teachers and providing free and discounted online yoga access to those in need.
While we are not out of the woods — particularly as cases are once again on the rise, and we may or may not face another shutdown — we would like to express our gratitude by paying it forward. Therefore, we will continue accepting studio donations, but we will be splitting them with local a non-profit organization. All donations that come in for the rest of 2020 will be split 50/50 with Friends of City Dogs Cleveland, an organization that is near and dear to the studio. You can learn more about them and the work that they do here.
At the end of the year, half of all donations collected will be given to FoCDC. The remaining funds will help us subsidize free or discounted yoga for those still struggling financially during this time.
Donations can be made via PayPal using the button below.
You can also donate via Venmo (@firehouseyoga), the cash donation jar in the studio, or by mailing a check to:
